Detroit-based DJ/Producer Scott Avery is here with his debut release, Child Self. A 4-track dance music EP, Scott Avery is bringing something new and uniquely himself. The EP’s leading single, ‘Ecstasy’ is a fully charged blend of ambient and melodic techno. Showcasing his versatility, his sound is akin to that of Tale of Us, Anyma, and Monolink. ‘Ecstasy’ is a sound the capture the perpetual nature of dance music and in this case takes on darker, solemn tones.
As we approach Memorial Day Weekend, Scott Avery is based in a city that has been credited with creating the techno genre that has been making waves with massive crowds for past decade. Avery’s new EP pays homage to his roots and each track in Child Self provides a unique listening window to the influences that have shaped his current sounds.
