Huge Baltic Triangle techno event showcasing local DJs – Liverpool Echo

A host of local DJs will be performing at a techno event in the Baltic Triangle this month.

The event, which is taking place from 2pm until 2am on Saturday, September 24, aims to celebrate local talent in an all-day music extravaganza at Checkpoint Charlie’s on Brick Street. The outdoor and indoor space will be playing host to a range of talented DJs in a ‘mini festival’ style summer closing party.

Visitors can get into the festival spirit on the day thanks to props, face and body paint and homemade pizza. The event will see brands Realm and Open Air come together to put on a spectacular show.

The brands are committed to supporting local talent and will be running a competition that will give two undiscovered DJs the chance to play at the event. Any up and coming DJs can submit their music via the Realm Facebook page.

Realm owner and organiser, TONi, said: “The Liverpool techno scene is so rich with talent so we’ve decided to put on a mini festival to showcase this – to celebrate the amazing DJs of Liverpool. I think it’s really important to support each other and work together to nurture local talent and that’s what Realm is all about.

“The Liverpool techno scene is a great community and it’s really inspiring when we all look out for each other and support each other. This event will be a perfect example of this and it will be a very proud feeling watching my fellow Scousers smash it in our home city!”
